Rat IGF Binding Protein-4 (rIGFBP-4) is a 233 amino acid glycosylated protein that is one of the six 'classical' IGF binding proteins. These binding proteins have an important role in stabilizing and regulating the activity of IGFs in vivo. Rat IGFBP-4 binds both IGF-I and IGF-II and modifies their biological activity and bioavailability.
