Antibodies to IGF-Receptors

Anti-human Type 1 IGF Receptor

Human Type 1 IGF Receptor antibody 26-3 is a murine monoclonal antibody (IgG1) which recognises an epitope within amino acids 283-440 or 586-908 of the extracellular portion of the human Type 1 IGF Receptor. The antibody enhances binding of 125I -IGF binding to IGFR/3T3 cells and stimulates IGF - mediated [3H]-thymidine incorporation. Reference: Soos, M. A. et al (1992) J. Biol. Chem. 267, 12955-12963. Source: Mice were immunized with transfected 3T3 cells overexpressing the human Type 1 IGF Receptor. Quantity: 200 µg protein Appearance: Lyophilized antibody. Specificity: The monoclonal antibody recognises an epitope within amino acids 283-440 or 586-908 of the extracellular portion of the human Type 1 IGF Receptor. It does not cross-react with the rat Type 1 IGF Receptor nor the human insulin receptor. Properties: Enhances IGF-I binding to the Type 1 IGF Receptor of 3T3 cells, and IGF-I stimulated 3H-thymidine and 2-deoxyglucose uptake by these cells. Uses: Immunoprecipitation and EIA. Titre: Use at a dilution of 1/5,000 for immunoassays. Reconstitution: Dissolve in 200 µl PBS pH: 7.4. Storage/Stability: At least 2 years at 2 - 4°C (lyophilized). After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -80°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. This is a Novozymes GroPep specification. ibt is authorized distributor of Novozymes GroPep!
