Insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) is a 70 amino acid polypeptide that stimulates growth and differentiation in many cell types including rat L6 myoblasts.
Source: IGF-I is produced in E. coli using a patented expression system and the IGF-I is correctly folded and purified by several chromatography steps to yield Receptor Grade IGF-I.
Purity: > 85% (as determined by HPLC and N-terminal sequence analysis)
Molecular Weight: 7649 daltons - confirmed by Mass Spectrometry

Reconstitution: Dissolve in dilute acid (e.g. 10mM HCl or 0.1M acetic acid), aliquot and store at -20Â°C. For lower dilutions (e.g. <1mg/ml) inclusion of a carrier protein is recommended. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
