The IgG fraction was purified from a polyclonal antiserum obtained from rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide of unique sequence from the central domain of human IGFBP-1.  The antibody has been characterized for immunohistochemistry and EIA.

Specificity:  In EIA the antibody does not cross-react with human IGFBPs 2-6.
Application:  Characterized for immunohistochemical detection of IGFBP-1 in paraffin embedded sections of embryonic rat tissues.
Titre: A final dilution of 1/250 for immunohistochemistry with GroPep’s protocol using a biotinylated IgG secondary antibody and detection with ExtrAvidin conjugated Cy3.
Use at a final dilution of 1/500 - 1/800 for EIA.
Reconstitution:  Dissolve in 400 µl sterile water (1/20 dilution).  Dilute further in a buffer solution appropriate for the desired application.
Storage/Stability: In lyophilized form the antibody is stable for at least 2 years at 2 - 4 °C.  After reconstitution, aliquot and store at -20 °C or - 80 °C.  Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
