Description: IgG fraction from mouse monoclonal antibody (clone 6C9/E2) obtained by immunization of mice with a KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide TKAAR[trimethyl-K]SAP-C corresponding to aa22 - aa30 of human histone H3. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose.

Isotype: IgG1.

Stability: Stable for at least one year. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Applications: This antibody can be used in ELISA assays (1: 1,000 dilution). It recognizes trimethylated H3 K27. The methylation of specific histone lysines controls aspects of short- and long-term transcriptional regulation, in addition to the propagation of bulk chromosome structure and stability. Methylation of histone H3 K27 is also involved in transcriptional silencing of human polycomb target genes and earliest chromatin changes in the X-chromosome inactivation.

Formulation: Solution at 0.5 mg/mL in PBS.
