Recommended Handling of biotinylated IGF´s and Analogs or other biotinylated peptides

Shipment: Biotinylated IGF´s are shipped at ambient temperature.

Storage: For long term storage it is recommended to store the biotinylated IGF´s at 4 °C. After reconstitution make aliquots and freeze at -20 °C.

Reconstitution: Reconstitute one vial  with 0.5 ml of distilled water to give a stock solution of the biotinylated IGF in Tris-buffered saline, pH 7.4.

Stability: Lyophilized biotinylated IGF´s are stable at least for one year at 4 °C. Studies are ongoing and from our experience with reconstituted solutions we expect a stability of more than two years.
Reconstituted stock solutions  are stable for at least one week at 4 °C and for more than one year at -20 ° C.

Diluted working solutions should be used the same day.

Repeated freeze-thawing should be avoided, though in our hands up to three freeze-thawing cycles have not resulted in a detectable loss of activity.
